Roberts stars a Maggie Carpenter, a woman with a serious case of cold feet. Maggie has left three men jilted at the altar, and Ike Graham (Richard Gere) has been assigned to write a human interest piece for his newspaper column. While getting to know Maggie’s tendency to flee weddings, they fall for each other.
From director Garry Marshall, Runaway Bride paired up two of Hollywood’s leading stars for a second romantic comedy.
