16. The Wedding Pact

Release Year: 2014

Directed By: Matt Berman

Starring: Haylie Duff, Chris Soldevilla, Angie Everhart

We’ve all played this game with our friends. “If neither of us have gotten married in 10 years, let’s throw in the towel and marry each other.” Whether in jest or an actual back-up plan, it’s common to throw out these pronouncement without follow through. Well, The Wedding Pact is a movie about the follow through.

On the last fay of college, Elizabeth (Haylie Duff) tells MItch (Chris Soldevilla) that if they are both still single in 10 years, they will get married. Fast forward 10 years, and neither Elizabeth or Mitch have married. Mitch decides to act on his college crush, only to find that Elizabeth is planning a wedding. Will Elizabeth change her mind for Mitch?

The Wedding Pact, while not one of those feel-good Hallmark Channel original movies everyone goes crazy for during the holidays, plays out just like one. And starring the insanely likable Haylie Duff, The Wedding Pact makes for a harmless and enjoyable romantic movie!
