14. Vince recruits Marius
- Episode 10, “The Longest Day”
Now that Marius finally returned Vince his one hundred thousand dollars, Vince proposed that Marius sit at a table with Mukharjee to spot a cheat. If Marius refused this job from Vince, then Vince would likely have killed Marius. Therefore, Marius had no choice but to accept the task from Vince to help himself out of a terrible situation.
Additionally, Vince brought Karolina down to see Marius in his moment of helplessness. Marius asked if Vince tried to rub his success in Marius’ face. Vince amusingly responded that he kind of was trying to that very thing. Anyways, Karolina explained the situation as Marius could only respond how Vince wanted to take the cheater down.
Vince entered himself into a situation without knowing all of the factors at play. He fell for Marius’s russe and granted him entry into the game. Cranston replayed this type of situation with Walter who did not know what to expect introducing Todd into his plans. Todd produced a dark fate for Walter just as Marius would be the doom for Vince.
