10. Vince talks strategy with Eddie
- Episode 7, “Lieutenant Bernhardt”
After Vince basically forced Eddie to deal the game with Mukharjee, Eddie talked about his plan to catch Mukharjee in the act of cheating. He decided to give Mukharjee whatever hand he would like. However, Vince rejected this strategy because he did not want anyone to perceive VInce or his establishment as a location for cheaters to play in high stakes card games. Thus, Eddie’s plan did not work.
However, to keep Vince’s confidence, Eddie played a small card trick on Vince to keep his mind occupied. He had Vince point out the ace and then dealt Vince a hand filled with four kings an ace. However, Vince still rejected Eddie’s plan to stop Mukharjee. For the moment though, Vince trusted Eddie to get the job done.
Cranston brought out a meticulous and detail focused character that resembled Walter White. For instance, in the prison scene with Gus Fring’s informants, Walter asked for each detail on how Todd’s Uncle would end these men within seven minutes. Unfortunately for Eddie, this character trait transferred over to an intimidating character in Vince.
