13. Billy handles the morning after
Episode 2, “Pride and Prejudice”
After an officer attacked Billy and his daughter for no apparent reason other than to intimidate Billy, McBride ended up in jail by the end of the night. After he saw the mysterious man in the jail cell, Billy needed to handle the next morning with complete composure. Billy failed to arrive at his court hearing, yet he exhibited his persuasion tactics to have the clerk make him another appointment.
Next, Billy erupted in anger at the shop because his car was in utter disrepair. The car had a cracked windshield, broken headlight, and multiple dents throughout its body. Billy angrily yelled at the worker for the condition of the classic Mustang. Despite the completely understandable temper tantrum, Billy visited his daughter to check on her after the traumatic experience the prior evening.
Billy engaged in a heart to heart conversation with Denise. However, Denise flipped the script on Billy. While Billy worried about her, she ordered her dad to get his life in order. Thornton again showed the wide range of emotions that any person can exhibit after a bad evening followed by an even worse morning after.
