3. Billy questions Wendell Corey

After Judge Keller refused to allow photographs that depict Borns Tech cluster bombs being used on innocent civilians in a war zone, Billy questioned Wendell Corey as his next witness. Billy attempted several paths of questioning to incriminate the high-ranking employee at Borns Tech. However, Callie Senate called for a few objections, which Judge Keller decided to sustain due to their irrelevance.
Although Billy barely lifted his argument off the ground before Judge Keller stopped it, Billy continued to place pressure on Wendell Corey. Eventually, Billy made a surprise move when he asked who Corey’s real lawyer would be in obtaining permission to create cluster bombs. Shockingly, Donald Cooperman was the man, so Billy called Cooperman to the stand.
Thornton presented an enthralling performance in this scene. He expertly stated the facts of the case to lead the viewers to the big player in this trial: Donald Cooperman. Thornton laid out the conflict of the finale, which would be a showdown between Cooperman and McBride.
