7. Billy learns Father Anan’s fate

In a shocking and painful moment to watch unfold, Father Anan spoke to Billy about the trial. Billy explained that the case possessed a legitimate chance to bring Ryan Larson’s corrupt employers Borns Tech to justice. Next, Father Anan informed Billy that the Catholic Church excommunicated him because he revealed Ryan’s Larson’s confessions to Billy. He violated his oath as a priest, so he could no longer serve the community.
Father Anan sacrificed his career. He dedicated his life to the priesthood, but it vanished before his eyes after a brief conversation with Billy about Ryan Larson. As Father Anan walked out of his Church, Billy delivered a sincere apology. Billy looked dejected as he cost this innocent and good man his entire livelihood just to win a case.
