Here’s how you can watch the series premiere of the new HBO series The Young Pope, starring Jude Law and Diane Keaton on TV, online and on Amazon.
Sunday is traditionally a big day for HBO and tonight promises to live up to that standard with the series premiere of the new series, The Young Pope. The series stars two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law in the role of the young Pope who brings with him a radical approach and ideas to Vatican City.
Law plays Pius XIII (born Lenny Belardo), the first American-born Pope who served as the Archbishop of New York. If you’re not up to date on the history of the Pope, HBO describes the character as a “complex and conflicted, so conservative in his choices as to border on obscurantism, yet full of compassion towards the weak and poor. The first American pope, Pius XIII is a man of great power who is stubbornly resistant to the Vatican courtiers, unconcerned with the implications to his authority.”
The Young Pope was created by, directed and written by Paolo Sorrentino, director of the Oscar-winning movie The Great Beauty.
Also starring with Law is Diane Keaton as Sister Mary. She is an American nun who raised Lenny in an orphanage and helped him throughout his career. Now, she serves as the personal secretary for the Pope. Silvio Orlando, Javier Camara, Scott Shepherd, Cecile de France, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell round out the main cast of The Young Pope.

The 10-episode first season begins on Sunday, but it moves to its normal timeslot on Monday the following day with the airing of Episode 2. Below you’ll find broadcast and live stream information for the series premiere.
