1. Frank Bombs the Kempeitai Headquarters

Episode 9, “Detonation”

Frank followed through on the Resistance’s largest and most successful mission on the show. Frank and Sara managed to bomb the Kempeitai headquarters in an almost flawless mission. Unfortunately, Kido stopped the couple before they could escape the blast radius of the explosion. Much like the majority of the Kempeitai forces, Frank and Sara died in the blast, or so we are meant to think…

Frank and the Resistance planned this mission throughout the season, so the actual mission was not unexpected. However, no plot twist happened throughout the duration of the mission. The Man in the High Castle Season 2 severed its ties to the Pacific States. Aside from Kido and Tagomi, who may want to live in a different reality, no characters exist in a crucial portion of the show’s story. Frank became a pillar in the Pacific States. His transformation from a shy and powerless individual to a ruthless and idealistic Resistance fighter exemplified the fight for good in this universe.

Frank fought to do right. The Resistance acted as terrorists at points, but Frank fought in these missions to seek justice for the deaths of his family as well as the countless others murdered by the Kempeitai. Viewers will miss Frank Frink.
