Amazon wins six Emmys total, Transparent wins three

Amazon won six Emmys at the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards including Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeffrey Tambor and Transparent.

Amazon took home six total Emmy Awards at the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and the Creative Arts Primetime Emmys. The Primetime Emmy Awards Show was held on Sunday night and was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

Transparent took home Amazon’s only two Emmy Awards during the Primetime Emmys Award Show. Jeffrey Tambor won the Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. It was his second win in the category. Jill Soloway, the creator of the series, also won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series.

At the Creative Arts Emmys, which were held last weekend, Amazon won four Emmys. The Man in the High Castle took home two Emmy Awards in technical categories. Transparent won another Emmy; this time for Production Design. Mozart in the Jungle won the Emmy for Best Sound Mixing.
