3. Bosch and Edgar Interactions Galore

Perhaps we’re alone in this, but many of the best and most underrated moments from Season 1 were when Bosch and his partner in Detective Jerry Edgar were interacting with one another. Though they both take their jobs and duties seriously, the two men are very much the yin to the other’s yang. It ultimately results in enjoyable interactions and contrasts in various situations. The only problem, though, is that we were left wanting a bit more of those scenes with the two partners.

Not only do these scenes offer a chance to get to know Harry better by pairing him with someone unafraid to oppose him and lighten the mood, but Edgar’s ability to lighten the mood is hugely important to the show. Whether it’s last season when they were tracking down a serial killer or in Bosch Season 2 where they are going to be dealing with mob-related murder, the need for something similar to comic relief is vital to the show not getting bogged down.

We all love the drama and the action of the show, but 10 straight episodes of non-stop heavy sequences and scenes is a bit too overbearing. As a result, we need more of Harry and Jerry interacting than we got in the first season to help avoid feeling exhausted after every episode.
