There are few shows with as good of a cast as Transparent, especially comedy shows. Veep and Brooklyn Nine-Nine immediately come to mind, but I think Transparent might even have those two shows beat.
The chemistry between the performers is unbelievable (in a good way!). Not only do they look like they could all be a family, they actually act like siblings, parents, and children, respectively. It’s amazing how good the main characters are in the series.
Gaby Hoffman is fantastic in everything that she appears in. Jay Duplass, the brother of Mark Duplass, is always hilarious and a solid performer.
Admittedly, I’m not as familiar with Amy Landecker, but Sarah is my favorite character in the whole series other than Kathryn Hahn’s character!
And, who couldn’t love Judith Light?
Everyone is fantastic in Transparent! And, don’t even get me started on the supporting characters! They might even be better than a few of the stars.
Bradley Whitford won an Emmy for his guest performance as Marcy. Kathryn Hahn and Ron Huebel are also fantastic in their roles, as are Alexandra Billings, Carrie Brownstein, Melora Hardin, and Tig Notaro.
There’s not enough time or room to praise everyone individually, but everyone in Transparent is great, and that’s a very rare thing to say about a TV show.
Next: Jeffrey Tambor
