7. The great Ridley Scott is an Executive Producer
It’s pretty clear that The Man in the High Castle would not be happening with out Ridley Scott.
Scott’s vision of what this show could be kept it alive as it bounced around from network to network before finding a home at Amazon, which we’ll get into in a bit!
For those who don’t know, Scott is one of the biggest directors and producers in Hollywood and has been for the last 40-plus years. Most people will know him as the director and producer of Alien and the rest of Alien franchise, the director of Thelma and Louise, Blade Runner, American Gangster, and Prometheus. Scott also just directed the hit film The Martian starring Matt Damon. And, he’s been an executive producer of The Good Wife.
I’m fairly confident Scott hasn’t slept at all since the 1970s. He does everything!
